THE DIERINGERS--A PROLOG

According to the Priest who researched this for Oscar Dieringer(?), Daniel and Aloysia Dieringer (married 4/26/1874) had their children baptized as follows:

XOXOXOXOXOTHIS IS ALL WRONG TO NEXT XOXOXOXOXO *[Note: While everything lists them as the Till’s I really think their name was Tiell.                                          Nevertheless, on June 7,1880 Ferdinand(30) & Beata(25) Till (both from Austria) lived with their (Texas born) children Mary(4), and twins Joseph and Franz (both 2) in the High Hill area (6-188).

The neighbors were(from 184 to 192): Hillje, Stable, Rosenburg, Thurman, Wild, Mayes, Schramek, & Tomshak].

On July 21, 2003, I found:

On May 6, 1910, Ferdinand(60) [came from Germany in 1867] and Beate(54) [came                                         from Germany-no date] [she had had 8 children with 5 surviving in 1910] Till lived on the Cuero-Yoakum Road in Dewitt County[PCT 3] with their children Minnie(25) and  Olga(19) with hired hand Carlito Gonzales(53).

On July 1, 2003, I found:

On Feb. 7, 1920, neighbors of Albert Dieringer on the Yoakum-Hochheim Road in PCT                                 6J of Dewitt County were:  19-167=Till: Fred(69) [emigrated from Germany in 1867] and  Berthe(65) [From Germany-No date].

On July 8, 2003, I found:

On April , 1930, Beata Till (aged 73) [listed as Tell] lived with her son-in-law Anton                                         Berger(58) and daughter Minnie(44) in PCT 4J-South Part of Colorado County with their children Elvira(8) and Oswald(3). Beata is listed as having come from Czech. in 1880.

                               I also believe the godparents’ names are incorrect. On Sept 12, 1870, Ferdinand Tiell,aged 20, lived with his father Henry(43) & siblings Joseph(15), Edward(13), Anne(11), and Ferona(6) (High Hill P O -14-180).

THIS IS WRONG!!!!!!!                 I strongly suspect that Beata Tiell’s maiden name was Zahradnek with her either being Louisa’s sister or possibly cousin.  Two possible scenarios would follow:

1) She moved with the Dieringers to High Hill where she met & married Ferdinand Tiell or

2) She had already married and apprised the Dieringers of local land for sale.

UPDATE!!!!  On or about February 3, 2003, I learned the following:

The preceding is very suspect. I really don’t know why I assumed they had lived in Lavaca County.

Aloisia always listed herself as having arrived in America in 1873.

The following suggests that she was the granddaughter of Joseph A. Ripper

and the daughter of Mary [nee Ripper-possibly having been married before to a Zahradnek]] Gertner.

Also notice that John and Theresa Winkler  lived between the Rippers and the Gertners.
XOXOXOWRONG ABOVE.

I found in about 2006 that Beata’s maiden name was Reich. Since Daniel’s first wife’s maiden name was Reich, I suspect the two ladies were sisters or at least cousins.
